Fashion Influencer Instagram Carousel BTS

The Instagram aesthetic contest between fashion influencers has been fuelling a grossly unsustainable monster- the fast fashion industry! Is your friendly neighbourhood fashion influencer a fashion influenza? Or do you know an actually sustainable fashion influencer?

Eco Friendly Sanitary Napkins

Menstrual waste makes up a large chunk of non-biodegradable waste, and is also a huge health hazard. Here are some ways you can contribute to clearing up this mess, and adopting sustainable menstruation measures.

The comic appears in my column with Sunday Mid-day. The list is certainly not exhaustive, and there may be many more brands making eco-friendly menstrual products that I'm not aware of (please excuse my extremely limited experience with using sanitary pads!).  If you're aware of more such brands, do mention in the comments below. Thanks to my friend Sugandhi Gadadhar for her inputs.

This comic also marks two years of my association with Mid-Day. A big thanks to the Mid-Day team for giving my strip prime space and for being an environmentally conscious newspaper!

E-waste Management

E-waste or electronic waste that comprise discarded electronic devices are a growing environmental threat. In both developed and developing countries, e-waste contributes to landfills and its disposal poses serious biological hazards from the contaminants it contains. Management and recycling of e-waste involves deconstructing a device and extracting parts from, to avoid mining of raw material.

The cartoon appeared in The Hindu's BLink earlier this month.
