Bhutan's Carbon Neutrality
I'm just back from Bhutan where I spent a week gathering references for a project. The world knows Bhutan for its heritage, architecture and natural beauty, but not many are aware of the effort that the country makes to preserve its natural wonders. Here is a comic about Bhutan's strict carbon neutrality policy, with inputs from Prime Minister Mr. Tshering Tobgay's popular Ted talk.
The world owes Bhutan a big Kadrin Chhe La (thank you in Dzongkha)! The comic appears in my Sunday column with Mid-Day today.

Pugmarks and Carbon Footprints
So, who's the Bigfoot? The cartoon appears on my Gocomics page today, and is also the cover for my exhibition that I'm doing this week in Hyderabad, called 'Pugmarks and Carbon Footprints'.
The display of 54 cartoons on wildlife conservation and sustainability is being conducted at the Hamburg Hall in association with Goethe Zentrum Hyderabad, and opens on the evening of 15th April at 6.30pm. If you're in Hyderabad, drop in and say hello! Join the event on Facebook here.

'Think. Eat. Save'- World Environment Day, 2013
The theme for World Environment Day 2013 is 'Think, Eat, Save' through which the UNEP aspires to promote wise and sustainable consumption. Read more on http://www.unep.org/wed/
"The impact of food waste is not just financial. Environmentally, food waste leads to wasteful use of chemicals such as fertilizers and pesticides; more fuel used for transportation; and more rotting food, creating more methane – one of the most harmful greenhouse gases that contributes to climate change. Methane is 23 times more potent than CO2 as a greenhouse gas. The vast amount of food going to landfills makes a significant contribution to global warming. "

Sustainuisance
Wikipedia defines Corporate Sustainability as "a business approach that creates long-term consumer and employee value by not only creating a "green" strategy aimed towards the natural environment, but taking into consideration every dimension of how a business operates in the social, cultural, and economic environment. Also formulating strategies to build a company that fosters longevity through transparency and proper employee development."
You can now read more of my green cartoons in Sustainuance- India's first magazine on corporate sustainability. Check out the cover concept of this month's issue- very thoughtful indeed!

Happy World Environment Day!
Well, what better models to endorse green design than animals themselves?
There are so many benefits of investing in green energy that a blog post may not ne sufficient to describe. Not only is it limited to cutting carbon emmissions, but extends to creating healthier environments and living conditions, contributing tremendously towards cost reduction and even creating new job opportunities. As the focus on green energy is increasing among the world's leading corporates, more and more companies anre beginning to invest in these reliable, resilient and inexhaustible alternatives.
This year's Environment Day theme is 'Green Economy: Does it include you?' Read more about it on http://www.unep.org/wed/theme/
